My new wreath, thanks to my youngest daughter!

She picked this bright and fun pink and blue ribbon fro Michaels and we went to town making this. What I really love is I can leave it up all January also. It has snowmen and snowflakes. While is currently says NOEL, I do believe I will add 2012 at the new year. Thanks puddin' you did an awesome job with this! Love ya!

WOW! I have been missing...

I have been crafty, just not posting. I will try to post something soon. I wanted to give a little funny my sweet dear hubby come up with...We were black saturday shopping at JoAnns and hubby who has been trying to buy me a new sewing machine (I am picky) declared the following about me "I am Babylock on a Singer budget!"  oh so true. I would love a top of the line Babylock sewing machine and serger, but I refuse to sell any of the children! As I tell the kids "It is good to have dreams" Keep your eyes open, Hannie and I made a really pretty new wreath for our door and as soon as I get pictures I will post.

A little tulle instead of a towel and...

                                  Without any bows!

My new toy!!!

I have a new toy, a sock loom. This project is not going to be fast but if it works my hubbie will have handmade, homemade with lots of love, socks! I so hope this works because socks on needles just confuse me:(
Yummy yarrn for socks!

A third time...

This one is for my youngest daughters room. Her room is teal and she loves all things girly. I plan to make a small hanger and hang it in her room next to her vanity table.

Fun tea towels...

Quick story first before I show you the project...Wonderful Hubbie goes to visit his family with our youngest two kiddos. When he returns he says, "My aunt has this neat thing on her oven. It is a tea towel but it looks like a dress." Me "Sounds cute, can you tell me more?" Him "Nope, didn't look at it too closely."

Well great! Sounds cute but no real details. Since have I made tops and worked with tea towels in the past, I have a few ideas. First few attempts are not going to be pictured because I just didn't like the dress part, so I stopped and started again.
First finished one...
This is made with flannel and a cotton tea towel. When it was finished I put it on the oven. Son walks by with no comment. Hubbie walks by with AGAIN no comment. Sweet princess and angel girl walks by, stops and announces "Aunt Peggy has one just like that!" YES! I have success. So, I ask Hubbie who looks at it again and says "Cute and yeah I guess it is like hers. I didn't really look at it closely!"

                            Second attempt...
This is my second one made of a tea towel and fabric I had. This time it is a cotton top with a terry towel. I have to say I don't care for it as much as I do the cotton tea towel. So, I have bought new towels and plan to try a third one with a different fabric for the towel. Stay tuned!

I'm Back!

I have decided to re-open this blog!
